Scripture

Psalm 72:18-19
Blessed be the Lord God, the God of Israel,
Who alone works wonders.
And blessed be His glorious name forever;
And may the whole earth be filled with His glory.
Amen, and Amen.

John 1:14
And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.

Romans 11:33-36
Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and unfathomable His ways! For who has known the mind of the Lord, or who became His counselor? Or who has first given to Him that it might be paid back to him again? For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things. To Him be the glory forever. Amen.

1 Corinthians 10:31
Whether, then, you eat or drink or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.

Reflection

The ultimate end and goal of all things is the glory of God. He is worthy of all honor and praise forever. Yet, rather than keeping His distance from humanity, God came near and revealed His glory through the person of Jesus. As those who have faith in Him, we are now able to live for God’s glory in the everyday.

Prayer

Pray for a life of worship
Pray that your heart will be fully satisfied in the Lord, and that no lesser thing will compete for your worship. Pray for the church to be a people who worship God as a way of life beyond Sunday mornings.

Pray for God’s glory to fill the earth
Pray for those who walk in darkness to see the light and glory of Jesus and trust in Him. Pray that Christ will return in all His glory, and bring with Him justice, peace, and the reign of His eternal kingdom.
