As a pastor, one of my greatest joys is officiating weddings. It is an honor to stand at the altar with two people in love, ready to commit their lives to one another. It is always a day full of hope and joy and great promise.
But it’s also just the beginning. The real stuff of marriage comes after the wedding day, when the ceremonial vows are put to the test. To truly love, honor, and serve another person – even someone you dearly love – is a terrific challenge for all of us.
In our study of 1 Peter, we are coming up on chapter 3, which speaks directly to husbands and wives. Over the next two weeks, we will look at the challenges and joys of developing a healthy, God-honoring marriage. We’d love for you to join us as we encourage one another in this area of our lives!
