Why Harvest Church?

Harvest Church began in 2017 with a simple vision: We exist to grow and multiply disciples of Jesus. Our hope is to see the grace of Jesus transform lives here in Madison County, throughout the state of Mississippi, and in all the world. It is also our heart to love one another and live on mission together as a family of faith.

What to Expect at Harvest

Sundays at Harvest are very welcoming and casual. Please come as you are! Our worship gathering typically involves prayer, singing, a sermon, and sharing in communion. We offer childcare for children ages birth-four. We also meet for Discipleship Groups prior to worship (9:00-10:15). There is a group for every age to be taught and encouraged in the study of God’s word.

Our Leadership

Kyle York - Lead Pastor

Kyle entered into ministry in 2005 after graduating from Mississippi State. He spent several years as a youth pastor and a discipleship pastor before answering God’s call to plant Harvest Church. Kyle and his amazing wife, Jennifer, were married in 2006, and have two sons, Mason and Caleb. Kyle loves to travel, drink coffee, cheer on his Bulldogs (even when it’s hard), and above all he loves spending time with his family.

During that time, they had their sons Charlie and Levi. Aaron loves traveling, developing intentional friendships with people of different backgrounds and worldviews, and creating disciples of Christ.

Frequently Asked Questions

What do we believe?

Harvest Church is part of the Southern Baptist Convention, and accords with the Baptist Faith and Message. We also invite you to read our Membership Covenant, which details our core beliefs as well as our convictions on the church, leadership, and membership.

How are we led and governed?

Harvest Church is led by Elders in accordance with the pattern given in the New Testament (i.e. Acts 14:21-24; Acts 20:28). The qualifications for Elders are given in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:6-9.

What are our values?

As a church, we hold three key values as essential to growing and multiplying disciples of Jesus:

Grace Transforms: We believe the grace of Jesus changes us entirely, and we daily devote ourselves to living out this new life in meaningful community with others. (2 Corinthians 5:17; Ephesians 2:1-12; Galatians 2:20; Colossians 3:1-3; Philippians 1:27; Romans 12:1-2; 1 John 2:3-6; Ephesians 4:11-24)

Faith Multiplies: A life of faith always multiplies, creating generations of people who have been discipled through loving and intentional relationships. (Matthew 28:19-20; Mark 1:17; 2 Timothy 2:2; 1 Corinthians 11:1; Colossians 1:3-8; Ephesians 4:11-16; Philippians 2:1-2; Acts 2:42-47)

Love Pursues: We pursue others with the same love with which God has pursued us. This means selflessly loving our neighbors, serving the needs of others, and reaching the lost. (Matthew 22:34-40; John 13:34-35; 1 John 3:16-18; Romans 10:12-15; Romans 12:9-21; Matthew 5:14-16; 1 Peter 2:9-12; Titus 2:14; 1 Peter 4:10; James 2:14-17)
